NUTS & BOLTS

The most recent model A820 is an 8.3 megapixel digital camera by a 4x optical zoom and just about 2.5 inch LCD. It's capable to shoot at up to ISO 800, is powered by 2 AA batteries and has a special memory card slot that will accept SD or xD-Picture Card media.

Viewfinder/LCD

The 2.5 inch LCD has nearly 115K pixels of resolution.  With the very lower pixel count up, the image is most pretty grainy, but still serviceable.  The refresh rate is fast sufficient to provide a smooth image and different colors look fine on the screen of digital camera.  Outdoors, in brightness sunlight, the LCD does a fair job. However there is no particularly optical viewfinder on the A820.

Lens/Zoom

The Fujinon lens gives a 4x optical zoom and utmost apertures of f2.9 - f6.3.  When the digital camera is powered off, the frontage element of the lens is protected with a built-in lens cover.  When camera is power-up, the lens extends from the camera body.

In normal focus mode, you preserve focus on subjects as close up as 2 feet.  In macro mode, at extensive angle, you preserve focus between 0.3 and 2.6 feet away from the lens.  In macro, telephoto, this range is nearly 0.9 - 2.6 feet.  The A820 has only one focus area mode - a center area mode.

Flash

You canister use the built-in flash in a few dissimilar modes.  The flash can be set on auto, red-eye decreasing, and forced flash, disabled, and very slow synchrony. The flash range of camera, by ISO on auto, at extensive angle is amongst 2 feet and 5.9 feet.  At telephoto, the flash is extremely effective amongst 2 feet and 12.8 feet.  At macro, you preserve employ the flash between 1 and 2.6 feet.

Memory Media

The A820 has about 10 MB of interior memory, but preserve as well accept SD or xD-Picture Card media.  The collection of the combo media slot is a great feature as it removes one more hurdle that people may have had when considering which digital camera to purchase.  Since nearly all people buying digital cameras now are upgrading, there preserve be some resistance to buy if any more memory media type has to be obtained.
