The L74
broad is another Samsung camera that's actually ground-breaking, but
fail to bring spirited image excellence. If Samsung engineers exhausted
a small less occasion with gimmick and more time on image excellence,
then they'd actually have amazing. The L74 broad isn't a bad camera by
some means; it's now not a huge one. If you're sticking to little prints
it's value a look, but for better prints or 100% onscreen presentation
you may want to think anything else.
Purchase Camera By:
The L74W is a camera that straddles the row flanked by dense and
midsize. It has an extremely strong metal body, alike to Samsung's
higher-end NV-series cameras. There aren't a lot of buttons on this
camera, as almost all is controlled via the L74's 3-inch touch screen
show. The menu scheme is strange and often trying, making me wish that
the camera do have those additional buttons. The monitor itself is nice
and pointed, though it was firm to see out-of-doors, and it collect
fingerprints (as you might imagine). There's no visual viewfinder on the
camera.
There are all kind of sole features on the L74 Wide, but I'll create
with the basics primary. The camera is first and leading a
point-and-shooter, with lots of sight modes to decide from. There are
incomplete manual controls for shutter pace and aperture (night scene
mode merely), plus tradition white equilibrium. While the camera lack
true visual image stabilization, the ASR (higher Shake Reduction) skin
works better than having not anything at all, although do note that it
can grow longer shot-to-shot delays. almost certainly the most
talked-about trait on the camera is its World Tour Guide.
Camera presentation was standard in most compliments. The L74W starts up
in concerning 2.2 seconds (with the establish monitor turned off), and
focus times variety from 0.3 - 1.0 seconds, depending on the focal
length. Low light focus was fairly high-quality, thanks to the camera's
AF-assist light .close lag wasn't a difficulty, and shot-to-delay delays
were negligible, except when ASR is activate.
Photo excellence is the feeble spot on the L74 broad. The camera
somewhat overexposed most of my genuine world shots (simple to fix), and
it really blow out the tourist attractions a few times. insignia were
usually good, except in varied lighting, where the middling white
balance left photos with a obvious color shed. The biggest difficulty,
though, is the soft and hairy appearance of the photos cause (most
likely) by too a great deal noise reduction. Not a big contract for
little prints, but you'll almost surely notice it at 8 x 10 and above.
Redeye and purple fringing weren't important problems, and if the
previous does occur, there's a instrument to take away it built keen on
the camera.
The
Samsung L74 broad is a camera so as to packs a lot of skin into a
stylish, well-built corpse unluckily its image excellence is lacking, so
I'd only advocate it if you're stick to lesser prints. Let's expect that
next time around Samsung sticks to the fundamentals.
